CMU was set up as China Medical College on June 6, 1958. It is changed itself into China Medical University in 2003. It is the primary scholarly institution in Taiwan where Chinese medicine and pharmacy programs are given. With well-designed, globally competitive programs and famous staff individuals from all over Taiwan and around the world, the university has consistently developed over time to its show status as one of the first medical universities in Taiwan and the More prominent China region. Library:

There are 2, 64657 books, 362428 e-books, 1956 journals, 33191 electronic journals, 120 databases, 41432 audio-visual materials.

Laboratory:

The Medical Center and the Cell and Gene Therapy Laboratory have performed outstanding research in translational medicine.

At present, there are eight colleges including

Various research and medical equipment are complete. About 70% of the departments are related to Chinese and Western medicine.
